West University is in southwest Harris County. It is known as “The Neighborhood City.” All students are zoned to Houston Independent School District. As of 2011, West University is the 5th wealthiest location in Texas by per capita income. Since 2011, 85% of adults living in West U have bachelors degrees. That makes it the community with the highest percentage of adults with bachelor degrees in the southern U.S.
